This policy explains what information is collected when you visit danfab.com.ng (“we”, “us”) and how it is used. It is written to meet the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and to respect the rights of visitors from other countries, including under the GDPR (EU and UK) and US state privacy laws.
Information we collect
- Server and hosting logs. Our hosting provider automatically records technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of the request. This is used to keep the site secure and working.
- Cookies from advertising partners. See “Advertising” below.
- Information you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. We use it only to reply.
We don’t run user accounts, and we don’t sell personal information.
Our tools
Our calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to us or stored. When you press “Use today’s rate”, your browser requests a public exchange rate from Exchange Rate API (open.er-api.com), which receives your IP address as part of that request.
Advertising
We use Google AdSense to show ads.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google’s Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ cookies at aboutads.info.
- Learn more in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through a Google-certified consent message before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time from the privacy link that message provides.
